Warsaw. Collision of a tram and a passenger car on Słomińskiego Street

After a collision with a tram, a passenger car blocked the track. One person was trapped, and firefighters extricated him using hydraulic equipment.

The collision took place on Słomińskiego street, behind the Mickiewicz viaduct towards the Gdański bridge. Firefighters are on site.

– The collision occurred at the headland at the height of Słowiński. One person in the car, on the driver’s side, was trapped. The door was removed using plumbing equipment. The person rescued by firefighters was conscious – said Przemysław Girgiel from the capital’s fire department around 6.40 pm.

Two people were examined in the ambulance.

Artur Węgrzynowicz, tvnwarszawa.pl reporter, was there. – The driver of the Chevrolet in the place where you can cross the tracks did not make sure that the tram was not coming and it hit the side of the car. The vehicle is on the track. One person was hospitalized, the reporter reported after 7 p.m.

– There are no trams in the direction of the Gdański Bridge – added Węgrzynowicz.
