Only in November, and not – as previously announced – in September, tram drivers will restore traffic on Goworka and Spacerowa streets – admitted Maciej Dutkiewicz, spokesman for Tramwaje Warszawskie. The delay is related to work on the heat pipeline.

In May, when the capital city hall announced the next stage of construction of the tram route to Wilanów, it was announced that Goworka and Spacerowa streets would be open to traffic in September. “After the holidays, trams will also run on Puławska, which will run through the track junction under construction between Goworka and Rakowiecka streets,” officials announced.

“The contractor is postponing the deadline”

The schedule is not current. From Monday trams actually run on Puławska Street, but Goworka and Spacerowa remain impassable. – The contractor is postponing the opening date of Goworka and Spacerowa streets to November – admitted Maciej Dutkiewicz, spokesman for Tramwaje Warszawskie, in an interview with PAP. He added that the reason for the postponement is the delay in work on the heat pipeline.

– It is about demolishing the old heat pipeline and building a new one. This is a very complicated task, the total length of the heat pipeline to be reconstructed is four kilometers, but in fact there are two heat pipes eight kilometers long. We are running out of options to turn off this heat pipeline, because the heating season begins in September. This was an absolute priority for the contractor – Dutkiewicz explained in an interview with tvnwarszawa.pl. – The contractor announces a one-way opening in November – added the TW spokesman. And he assured that in some places work on the construction of “the heat pipeline” is already underway.

The eastern road on ul. is still closed to traffic. Sobieskiego (from al. Wilanowska to ul. Chełmska) and on ul. Belwederska (from ul. Chełmska to ul. Gagarina).

Cars and trams returned to Puławska

From Monday, drivers returned to both carriageways of Puławska Street. There are two lanes to the center. Third, to ul. Olszewska, is only for buses. Then the cars go to Waryńskiego Street. The section to Unii Lubelskiej Square remains closed. Towards Ursynów, one lane will remain only on the section from ul. Waryńskiego to ul. Olszewska, then there will be the entire width of the road.

It will have a total length of nearly 19 kilometers. It will connect Wola, Odolany, Dworzec Zachodni, Ochota, Mokotów and Wilanów
