Eighth graders from one of Ursynów primary schools were quarantined. Two days after the start of the school year, the school’s management received information about the confirmation of a coronavirus infection in one of the students. After consulting the Department of Health, the decision was made to send the class to remote teaching.
Information about the confirmation of SARS-CoV-2 infection in a student concerns Primary School No. 322 at Dembowski Street. – The eighth grade student was at the beginning of the school year, but yesterday (Thursday – ed.) Did not come to school. This morning, the director received information that the student is infected with coronavirus – said the mayor of Ursynów, Robert Kempa, in an interview with tvnwarszawa.pl.
He also added that, in accordance with the procedures, the school head asked the Sanepid for an opinion on the transition to remote teaching, and after receiving it, he asked the governing body, i.e. the district office, for permission to implement such a mode of learning. – Sanepid issued recommendations to switch to remote teaching by September 11 – Kempa stressed. He also specified that for the next 10 days only teenagers from a class confirmed to be infected with COVID-19 will study from home.
– We are still waiting for the recommendations of the Department of Health in the matter of the tutor who met the student on September 1 – the mayor reserved. As he explained, the teacher is fully vaccinated against COVID-19, so it is possible that he will be released from quarantine in the event of a negative SARS-CoV-2 test result.
