Warsaw. Czerniakowska Milling on the Long Weekend

In May, road workers laid a new surface on both carriageways of Czerniakowska Street, between Trasa Siekierkowska and Chełmska Street. This time, they are replacing the asphalt from Chełmska Street to Aleja Polski Walczącyj/Gagarina Street, on the carriageway towards Śródmieście.

Under the second lane, leading to Wilanów, renovation of the water main is planned. Only after this work is completed will the replacement of the surface begin.

Road workers closed the road on Czerniakowska Street towards Śródmieście from Aleja Becka to Aleja Polski Walczącyj/Ulica Gagarina on Thursday after 10 p.m. Drivers will return here on Monday, August 19, at 4 a.m.

The overpass to Wisłostrada from Witosa Avenue also remains closed. On Chełmska Street, before Czerniakowska, a sign has been placed ordering a right turn.

Detours for disruptions have been designated via Becka Avenue and Walczącyj Avenue. Drivers can also take Becka Avenue to Witosa Avenue, van Beethovena Street, Jana III Sobieskiego Street, Belwederska Street and Gagarina Street. From Chełmska Street, the detour towards the city centre will take Czerska Street and Gagarina Street.

The following bus lines have changed their routes: 107, 131, 162, 172, 180, 185, 187 and night: N31, N33, N81 and N83 – towards the city centre

• 131, 162, 180, 187 – they will go along Beck and Fighting Poland avenues,

• 107 – from Bobrowiecka Street they will turn left and then go along Chełmska, Sielecka and Gagarina and return to the main route,

• 172 – they will bypass the closed section on Gagarina Street,

• 185 and N33 and N83 – their tour will lead along Jana III Sobieskiego, Chełmska, Sielecka and Gagarina streets,

• N31, N81 – will run along Sielecka Street.
