The road workers will be working under the Trasa Łazienkowska viaduct at night. In emergency mode, they will exclude the middle lane in the direction of Mokotów from traffic. The difficulties will start on Monday after 10 p.m. and will be repeated cyclically until Friday.

The Municipal Roads Authority announced on Monday that it is necessary to turn off the Solec street lane under the Łazienkowska Route viaduct in an emergency. “The works are necessary due to the mechanical damage to the viaduct” – it was explained in the press release. “Most likely, the element of the truck or its load protruding above the permissible height hit the bottom of the crossing” – the road builders believe.

– On the underside of the viaduct you can see that its surface is scratched and battered. The cracks are arranged in one sequence, and with several spans there are additionally broken pieces of concrete – describes Mateusz Szmelter from tvnwarszawa.pl.

The repair will start on Monday. A part of the middle lane of Solec Street will be closed to traffic between 22-6. The works will be repeated every night, between October 12 and 15, from 10 PM to 2 PM.

“It is impossible to carry out all the works in one night or a dozen or so hours. They require the maintenance of the technological regime in order for the repair to be permanent” – emphasizes the ZDM. As part of the repair, it will be necessary to break off the deaf and loose pieces of concrete, clean the place of repair mechanically and protect the exposed rebars with a special mortar. Then, the cavities must be filled with concrete mortar, and a buffer and putty layer should be placed on top of it.
