The shelters located in the Magic Park will be demolished. There are several reasons. According to the Białołęka District Office, they may pose a threat to users, and the cost of their renovation would be higher than their value. Another reason is the numerous complaints about the behavior of people using the gazebos.
On Thursday, October 19, the demolition of the shelters in the Magic Park began. It will last until November 9. The dismantling works will be carried out without the use of heavy equipment so as not to destroy the greenery.
As the district council reported on its official profile, a few months ago, a park maintenance company, commissioned by the office, assessed the technical condition of the gazebos located in the Magic Park. “It shows that the condition of all three shelters is deteriorating and the facilities may pose a threat to users in the near future. The cost of renovating the shelters would be higher than their value,” the Białołęka District said on social media.
The office added that a decision was made to demolish all three buildings. The reason is numerous complaints about the behavior of people using the gazebos. “A few years ago, after a wave of devastation, we dismantled two walls in each shelter to make them more exposed. Unfortunately, complaints about the nuisance caused by the users of the shelters still appeared,” the Białołęka District explained in the entry.

The gazebos and the park were built in 2014. They cost PLN 145,000. Parents and children use the park. Many housing estates have been built in the area without a large playground. However, there are several of them in the park. It is also a place for training in an open gym and running.
Unfortunately, the gazebos became a meeting place people who turned them into a place for drinking parties. – In the houses located in the park, there are frequent parties with the participation of young people. Alcohol is flowing freely, you can smell marijuana, you can hear singing and screaming – a reader told us in June. – About two weeks ago I saw the city guard and two police cars come to the park. A young man in handcuffs was led out from in front of the houses. He was arrested for drug possession, she added at the time.
The Białołęka District Office receives several complaints every year regarding the behavior of people using shelters. Residents intervened with the police and municipal guards regarding incidents in the park. As Marzena Gawkowska, the district’s spokeswoman, informed in June, the office asked the police and city guard to place the park under special supervision.
