On Friday, the next stage of the construction of the tram route to Kasprzaka begins. The works will move to the intersection with Bema Street, through which the passage will be difficult. On the other hand, on the same day, drivers will be able to drive through Płocka and Krzyżanowskiego streets without any problems. Buses will also return to their basic routes.
“Construction of a tram on Kasprzaka Street is already well advanced. The main works are concentrated in the area of Redutowa Street, where an underground passage is being built. At the same time, work on the construction of the track is continued. At the other end of the investment, the contractor is finishing works at the intersection of Płocka and Krzyżanowskiego streets. In the coming days, it plans to give drivers all lanes in this place and move to the intersection with Bema Street.
Trams will work at the crossing over the tracks and on the northern side of the intersection. For this reason from Friday, April 21, from approximately 10 p.m will introduce changes in the organization of traffic in this area. The northern section of Bema Street will lose its connection with Kasprzaka Street. Drivers coming from Wolska will be directed to a detour along Ludwiki and Płocka streets.
Kasprzaka Street will be narrowed
The passage through the tram track on Kasprzaka Street will also be closed – both roadways of this road will be narrowed to two traffic lanes, and even to one at night.
As a result, those driving along Kasprzaka Street from the city center will not turn right into Bema Street, i.e. towards Wolska Street, or left – towards Prądzyńskiego Street. On the other hand, those traveling from Aleja Prymasa Tysiąclecia will not turn right towards Prądzyński.
As indicated by Tramwaje Warszawskie, the southern section of Bema Street will remain connected to Kasprzaka Street, but it will be a bit narrower than usual. For this reason, only one direction of traffic will be maintained on the fragment of the road in front of the intersection – the exit from Prądzyńskiego to Kasprzaka Street, but only towards the center. To get to this section of Bema, you will have to go to Krzyżanowskiego and Brylowska streets.

Krzyżanowskiego 01 and Brylowska 01 stops will be restored.
Coaches 103, N45 and N95 will run on a revised timetable. This traffic organization will be in force almost until the end of June. On the last weekend of this month, tram drivers plan to lay a new surface at the intersection.
