For over an hour on Sunday, passengers had to reckon with difficulties in the running of trains of two metro lines. A replacement bus line has been launched.
– We received information from the police about the possibility of planting an explosive charge at the Świętokrzyska station – Andrzej Rejnson from the Warsaw Metro told us.
Therefore, the police went to the site. Passengers had to expect delays for more than an hour until the end of the action of the services.
Difficulties in the subway
Metro Świętokrzyska interchange station has been closed. M1 and M2 trains were running in loops – informed the Public Transport Authority.
The M1 line ran in Kabaty – Centrum loops; Młociny – Gdański Dw. On the other hand, the M2 line in the Bemowo – Rondo ONZ loops; Dw. Wileński – Bródno.
ZTM reported that the following stations were also closed: on the M1 line Ratusz-Arsenał and on the M2 line: Nowy Świat, Copernicus Science Center and the National Stadium.
A replacement line has been launched. The disruption ended just before 5 p.m.
