As the director of IPiN Anna Depukat assured in an interview with the daily, in order not to take out more expensive loans, she asked various government institutions for support, including ministry and the Chancellery of the Prime Minister. However, a signal was to come from the Ministry of Health that he had to use the next financing from non-bank institutions.

Neither the ministry nor the Chancellery of the Prime Minister replied to the daily’s questions regarding the financial situation of the IPiN. According to the daily, the Ministry of Health only claims that this is a management problem of the previous directors.

As reported by “DGP”, in the case of IPiN, staffing problems were the factor that determined reaching for help from parabanking institutions. In October 2021, five out of six specialists from the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry resigned – the only such branch in the capital. At that time, 40 patients were treated there, there were only 28 beds. “Children and Youth – the only such ward in the capital. In which there were 40 patients, despite 28 beds. Specialists were detained, salaries had to be raised, “DGP” reports.

“However, obtaining money for this purpose was increasingly difficult, overdue debts accumulated, and the bank did not want to give another loan. Therefore, a year later, in July 2022, a non-bank company was turned to a non-bank company for the first time. current activities. The Ministry of Health was aware of this situation “- we read further in the article.

The hospital is no longer credible for banks

What does the fact that the hospital takes a loan from a parabank prove? – This is a proof that a given entity is not a reliable borrower for the bank. Because certainly the first step is to go to the bank for a loan – it’s a cheaper option. And since the hospital did not get it, it is a sign that the bank does not see any prospects for improving the situation. He believes that there is no guarantee of repayment. A loan from a financing institution also proves that the structure of activity in a given hospital is bad, and decision makers want to maintain it by adding money to a bad organization – explains Rafał Janiszewski, the owner of a consulting firm that provides medical services in an interview with “DGP”.
