The court did not agree to the temporary arrest of Emil S., Doda’s ex-husband, who was detained on Tuesday. The man heard 50 additional charges, mainly involving the misappropriation of entrusted property.

On Thursday, the District Court for Warsaw Mokotów in Warsaw did not accept the request of the District Prosecutor’s Office in Warsaw for the application of pre-trial detention against Emil S. Aleksandra Skrzyniarz, spokeswoman for the District Prosecutor’s Office in Warsaw, informed.

The prosecutor reminded that Emil S. is still subject to libertarian preventive measures in the form of a property surety in the amount of PLN 4.5 million, police supervision as well as a ban on leaving the country. – However, the course of the preparatory proceedings, in the opinion of the prosecutor’s office, requires that the suspect be placed in pre-trial detention. Therefore, the prosecutor will immediately appeal against the issued decision – announced the spokeswoman of the District Prosecutor’s Office in Warsaw.

Irregularities in the settlement of film production

Emil S. was detained on Tuesday on the order of the District Prosecutor’s Office in Warsaw. The detention was related to an investigation into acting to the detriment of the creditors of a film production company.

On Wednesday, the ex-husband of the singer was brought to the District Prosecutor’s Office in Warsaw. – The suspect Emil S. heard an additional 50 charges, mainly crimes of misappropriation of entrusted property in the form of cash in the total amount of about PLN 4.7 million for the production of the film – Skrzyniarz reported.

– According to the findings of the investigation, Emil. S., acting as the company’s president, despite the concluded investment agreements for financing film production and the expiry of the deadlines contained in the agreements, did not produce and distribute the film work, and did not return the funds to investors, but transferred them to the bank account of the Maltese company, she explained. She also stated that the additional allegations included Emil S.’s criminal activity to the detriment of over 40 people.

In addition, Emil S. was charged by the District Prosecutor’s Office in Warsaw for acting in order to thwart the execution of the court’s decision to declare the company bankrupt by reducing the satisfaction of creditors. – The evidence shows that for this purpose the suspect entered into an agreement for the foreign distribution of the film on behalf of the Maltese company, and then accepted the amount of about PLN 78,000 for the payment for the film license, which money he did not settle with the bankruptcy trustee of the company – Prosecutor Skrzyniarz reported. .
