Even before Christmas, the traffic organization will change, among others, on Spacerowa, Aleja Rzeczypospolitej and Aleja Wilanowska. There, drivers will breathe a sigh of relief. In turn, additional difficulties should be expected on Bitwy Warszawskiej 1920 Street.
On Wednesday morning, December 18, drivers driving along Wilanowska Avenue – from the direction of the Wilanów Palace – will be able to turn into Jana III Sobieskiego Street using a separate road. In turn, straight ahead, towards the Służewiecka Valley, there will be two lanes.
It's easier on Spacerowa and Rzeczypospolitej Avenue
The crossing through Spacerowa will soon be improved. “The tram drivers took advantage of the favorable weather conditions and finished laying the asphalt on Spacerowa and Goworka streets. From Friday, December 20, drivers will travel from Puławska to Belwederska using two lanes,” announced the capital city hall.
In addition, Słoneczna and Zajączkowska streets will regain their connection with the Spacerowa road down. In turn, drivers going uphill will be able to turn into Chocimska towards Klonowa. “The exit from Chocimska to Goworka towards Puławska will remain closed,” officials said.
On Saturday, December 21, the route through Wilanów will be improved. Aleja Rzeczypospolitej from Branickiego Street to Klimczaka will regain two roadways. Each road will have two lanes, and at the intersection with Klimczaka and Hlonda there will be additional turning lanes. Those coming from Branicki will turn left again into Hlonda Street.
Additional difficulties during the Battle of Warsaw in 1920
The City Hall warns that changes are also being planned in the construction of the tram route to the Western Railway Station. During the weekend, tram workers will rebuild the sewage system at Bitwy Warszawskiej 1920 Street. These works will last from Friday, December 20, from 8 p.m., to Monday, December 23, until 4 a.m.
Therefore, the road of Bitwy Warszawskiej 1920 street will be narrowed near the Ibis hotel. On this fragment, traffic will be in one lane – only towards Grójecka. Drivers driving along Bitwy Warszawskiej 1920 Street – towards Aleje Jerozolimskie – will be directed to a detour through Szczęśliwicka and Sokołowskiego “Grzymały” streets. Buses from the following lines will also run here: 136, 167, 186, 191 and 414 and nightlife N01 and N43.
