The results of this year’s participatory budget were to be announced during a gala on Wednesday evening. But at least some of the authors of the projects got the information earlier. City Hall admits it was wrong.

“Usually the results were announced at the gala. This time they were announced on the Internet. I don’t know if it was a deliberate action or a mistake” – wrote before 2 p.m. on Facebook the Bialystok councilor Filip Pelc. He also thanked for the votes, because according to the information he obtained, three projects submitted by him won.

In an interview with tvnwarszawa.pl, the councilor pointed out that the results could also be checked on the participatory budget website, but after several dozen minutes such a possibility was blocked.

We asked the city hall. – Notifications received by some project promoters were sent by mistake. They are not the results of voting for projects as part of the 10th edition of the participatory budget in Warsaw – Jakub Leduchowski, deputy spokeswoman of the capital city hall, told us.

– The results will be presented at the gala, which will take place today, July 13, at 18.00 at the Palace of Culture and Science. The results of the vote will be published on the website bo.um.warszawa.pl today around 20.00, i.e. after the gala. The authors of the projects will receive appropriate notifications about the voting results immediately after their publication on the website – he added.

Over a thousand projects to choose from

Recall 1065 district projects and 118 citywide projects were allowed to vote in this year’s edition. There are over one hundred million zlotys to be spent. Every citizen of Warsaw could vote, regardless of whether he was a person registered in Warsaw or not.

Minors could also vote. You could vote in the traditional version: at the district office or online. You can also see the submitted projects there.
