Before noon, a fire broke out in an apartment in a block of flats at Łukowska Street. There was one unconscious person inside who was transferred to the emergency services.
Senior Captain Wojciech Kapczyński from the Warsaw Fire Department said that firefighters received the report at 11.32. It showed that an apartment on the seventh floor of a block of flats at 6 Łukowska Street was on fire. – We confirmed it on the spot. Black smoke was coming from the apartment. Our actions consisted of securing, extinguishing and searching the premises. One unconscious person, with preserved vital functions, was transferred to the care of the emergency service, he said.
Firefighters also checked using thermal cameras to see if there was anyone else inside. – We didn’t find anyone, we finished our activities at 1:08 p.m. Five teams worked on site, summarized senior captain Kapczyński.
