From Sunday, August 20, railway workers are planning work at the Warsaw Railway Junction. For this reason, they announce changes to the timetables of SKM and Koleje Mazowieckie trains.
From Sunday, selected S3 trains will run in a shortened relation to and from the Warszawa Powązki stop or station Warsaw Gdansk. On the other hand, one afternoon pair of trains will run only on the Warsaw Chopin Airport – Warsaw Rakowiec section.
The following changes will take effect the next day.
More changes from Monday
“From Monday, August 21, trains running between Pruszków and Otwock will be divided into two completely separate lines. This is due to the need to completely suspend running on the section Warszawa Centralna – Warszawa Zachodnia” – informed the Public Transport Authority.
The S1 line will run in a shortened relation, on the section Pruszków – Warszawa Zachodnia. On the other hand, the S10 line will run on the Otwock – Warszawa Wschodnia or Otwock – Warszawa Centralna route.
The operation of the S2 line will continue to be suspended. From Monday, August 21, S20 trains will run in a shortened relation, on the Warszawa Stadion – Warszawa Rembertów section.
From Monday, August 21, S4 trains will run only in a shortened relation, on the Warszawa Gdańska – Zegrze Południowe section. On the other hand, the S40 trains will run on the Piaseczno – Warszawa Główna route and will also run on weekends.
Difficulties in running trains to Radom
“On August 21-September 2, due to the need to introduce changes in the rail traffic control system at the Warszawa Zachodnia station, there will be additional difficulties in the running of trains, and the most important will concern lines No. 8 (Warszawa – Radom) and No. 9 (Warszawa – Działdowo). trains will be cancelled, the selected ones will run in a shortened relation or with a changed timetable.
Additional difficulties will also affect the R2 Warsaw-Łuków line. From August 21, the replacement of rail traffic control devices will begin at the Sulejówek Miłosna station and on the sections Mińsk Mazowiecki – Sulejówek – Warszawa Rembertów. This will result in the cancellation of all SKM Warszawa connections to/from Sulejówek and parts operated by KM. On selected dates, the last KM trains will be replaced by bus transport.
