It is significant how the history of the civilian population and the militants intertwine. When the uprising is over, its participants share the fate of civilians. Except for a small group that gets outside the ghetto walls. Those who survived are transported to Treblinka and camps in the Lublin region. The militants had few weapons, the border between the insurgents and civilians quickly blurred – says Dr. Katarzyna Person from the Jewish Historical Institute.
