A group of about 100 Greenpeace activists have been protesting in front of the Ministry of State Assets building in Krucza from the early morning hours on Thursday. They blocked the entrance to the building. The police are there.
As Katarzyna Guzek from Greenpeace reported on TVN24, this is a peaceful protest under the slogan “All for the climate”. – These are activists and climate activists who found themselves in front of the Ministry of State Assets in order to actually exclude the ministry from operation today – said Guzek.
The activist explained that it is in this ministry that decisions are made regarding state-owned companies, such as energy and coal companies. – This is the sector that contributes most to the deepening of the climate crisis, and we already know that we have very little time left. Activists call on Minister Sasin and the entire government to adopt a cut-off date for coal combustion, i.e. 2030. Poland must move away from coal combustion, said Katarzyna Guzek.
Activists block all entrances to the building. Many of them sit on the sidewalk in front of the ministry. There is also a van with protesters’ slogans on it.
