A few days ago, the city guards received a report of a drunk man accosting passers-by. It turned out that he was not under the influence of alcohol. He asked for help because he felt bad, but no one responded.
On Tuesday evening, city guards intervened at Kasprowicza Street in Bielany. The report showed that a drunk man was accosting customers of one of the stores. The guards went to the place.
“There they found an elderly man who, with his hand on his chest, was leaning against the wall of the building. The guards did not smell alcohol from him. The man was breathing with difficulty, but managed to inform the guards that he felt severe pain in his chest and was very cold. He explained also that he was looking for help from passers-by, but no one responded” – reports the press report of the capital city guard.
After a while, the man began to slide to the pavement. An ambulance was called to the scene. The guards took care of the man until the ambulance arrived and covered him with a thermal blanket.
“While waiting for the rescuers to arrive, the guards realized that half of the man’s body began to go numb and he lost consciousness. Several minutes later, the ambulance took the patient with a suspected stroke to the hospital” – the guards sum up.
