Criminals from Warsaw Prague detained a 37-year-old, suspected of breaking women golden chains. He was already punished for this type of crime. His 29-year-old companion will be responsible for fencing.
According to North-Plan police officers, on April 17 after 17, 37-year-old man broke the 73-year-old passenger of the city bus two gold chains. They were worth almost seven thousand zlotys. A few hours later, a 59-year-old was supposed to attack at Targowa.
“The attacker jerked a woman, and when she fell, a golden chain was worth almost PLN 1,700 from her neck,” told the Commissioner Paulina Onyszko from the Warsaw VI District Police Headquarters.
“A week later, the 37-year-old again committed the same crime, this time on the tram. He used the moment when the tram he traveled stopped at the bus stop and broke the 73-year-old passenger with a golden chain, then escaped. The woman, like other victims of a man, submitted a notification in this matter. She valued the value of the chain for PLN 1,5.”
He was active in recidivism
Criminals got to know the description of the attacker, analyzed similar matters and profiles punished for such crimes. A few days after the last theft (April 29), they detained a 37-year-old in Praga North.
“The man was previously listed and served in prison sentence. He was questioned in the District Prosecutor's Office of Warsaw Praga Północ, where he heard allegations of robbery and two bold thefts. All these crimes 37 -year -old committed himself under recidivism,” said Onyszko.
The court granted the prosecutor's request and temporarily arrested the suspect for three months. According to the Penal Code, he faces up to eight years in prison for the theft, and for a robbery up to 15 years.
Stopping the partner
Policemen regained three chains stolen for women. But they didn't stop there.
On Saturday they detained a partner of a 37-year-old who was to help him sell stolen jewelry in a pawnshop. On Monday, they led the 29-year-old to the Warsaw Praga Północ District Prosecutor's Office, where he heard the charge. The man is facing up to five years in prison. He was covered by police supervision.
