Police officers from Warsaw's Bielany district detained a 38-year-old man suspected of painting inscriptions inciting hatred based on national differences in a subway car. He faces a sentence of up to three years in prison.

According to Elwira Kozłowska from the Bielany police, the incident took place at the beginning of May. The passenger allegedly devastated the subway car. “While traveling, he placed inscriptions inside the carriage inciting hatred based on national differences. After placing the inscriptions, the man emerged from the underground railway as if nothing had happened. On the same day, the Warsaw Metro notified the police about placing inscriptions inside the carriage, which constituted an offense of insult. on national grounds,” Kozłowska reported.

Officers from the Bielany police station identified the man who was supposed to have devastated the wagon.

He faces up to three years in prison

A few days ago, a 38-year-old man was detained in Warsaw. “He was taken to the police station at Żeromskiego Street. After collecting evidence at the Warsaw Żoliborz District Prosecutor, he was charged with insulting due to nationality and inciting hatred based on nationality,” Kozłowska said.

The 38-year-old was placed under police surveillance. He faces up to three years in prison.
