Police officers from Warsaw’s Wola district detained a man who was hiding from justice. They found an illegal weapon in the apartment where he was staying, for which the 36-year-old was charged with a new crime. Afterwards, he was sent to prison.
According to the spokeswoman of the Wola police, Chief Commissioner Marta Sulowska, police officers from the departments for combating property crime and the criminal department worked on the case. They located a man who had one year and seven months to serve.

– The 36-year-old was wanted on the basis of an order issued by the District Court in Opole in connection with belonging to an organized criminal group and organizing illegal border crossing. The police also determined that the man may have illegally possessed a firearm in the apartment, in the form of a gas pistol – described Chief Inspector Sulowska.

She added that the police detained a 36-year-old man in an apartment in a town near Warsaw. They also found a gas pistol with a magazine and money in various banknotes and foreign currency.
– After collecting the evidence, the suspect was charged at the Warsaw-Wola District Prosecutor’s Office with illegal possession of a firearm in the form of a gas pistol and a magazine, which is punishable by up to eight years in prison. Directly from the interrogation, the suspect was sent to prison to serve his prison sentence, the policewoman summed up.
