A man in a reflective vest was crossing the zebra crossing on national road number 50 near Mińsk Mazowiecki. As he was approaching the halfway point, a truck driver passed in front of him. The chauffeur was unlucky because CANARD inspectors witnessed the dangerous situation.
On Thursday, November 16, inspectors from the Center for Automatic Road Traffic Supervision (CANARD) patrolled national road number 50 in the Masovian Voivodeship. In the town of Brzóze, near Mińsk Mazowiecki, they stopped in front of a marked crossing to let a pedestrian pass.
“The man was wearing a reflective vest. When he was at the crosswalk and was crossing the road, a truck with a semi-trailer passed in front of him from the opposite direction,” the release said. As added, the truck driver realized the danger he caused only after crossing the pedestrian crossing. He then slowed down and stopped behind a nearby intersection.
CANARD inspectors intervened. The truck driver was fined PLN 1,500 and 15 penalty points.
