Another wave of annoying heat has just arrived in Poland. Thermometers show 30 degrees and more all over the country. We advise where you can look for refreshment in Warsaw.
In the summer season of 2022, there are six outdoor swimming pools available in Warsaw. Five of them are water parks or swimming pools. One is a natural swimming pool.
The beach and bathing area are situated on the south-west side Czerniakowskie Lake on Mokotów, entrance from Jeziorna Street. The residents have at their disposal a beach with a recreational area, a swimming pool with a paddling pool for children and an outdoor gym. Trained lifeguards watch over the safety of people using the lake. The purity of the water is tested by the Department of Health and Safety and it is safe for swimming. The current state of suitability for bathing can be followed at the bathing site of the Chief Sanitary Inspector.
The swimming pool at the Czerniakowskie Lake is open and guarded daily from 9:00 to 19:00.
Moczydło Water Park
You can look for refreshment on hot days, among others in Moczydło Water Park by Górczewska 69/73. There are three swimming pools available on the premises of the complex: sports swimming pools with dimensions of 50×20 m and a depth of 1.3 to 1.8 m, as well as recreational and sports swimming pools with a maximum depth of 1.65 m. several slides, artificial river, artificial wave, paddling pool for children, floating path, net climbing and recreation area. The third separate body of water is a water playground, which will be used by the youngest amateurs of outdoor swimming – children under the age of seven. There were prepared attractions such as: water curtains, overflow buckets, a paddling pool, a turtle-shaped slide, a water volcano with holes enabling climbing and a steel balustrade at the top enabling safe play, a mini playground with a large overflow bucket, a water curtain and a slide.
The Moczydło Water Park is open daily from 9am to 7pm. Normal ticket costs PLN 40, reduced PLN 25. Entry with the Varsovian Card and the Young Varsovian Card is cheaper. It costs 32 and 20 zlotys, respectively.
Culture Park in Powsin
Outdoor swimming pool in Culture Park in Powsin by Maślaków 1 consists of: a main pool with dimensions of 25 x 12.5 m and a depth of 1.8 m equipped with a spiral slide 25 m long, a paddling pool for children, dimensions 16.5 x 8.5 m and a depth of up to 0.4 m, a water square with water attractions and a dry playground in the shape of a pirate ship.
Near the pools there is also a relaxation area under the pergolas with wooden couches. You can also use beach baskets.
Swimming pool in the Culture Park in Powsin in June and July It is open daily from 10 am to 9 pm, in August from 10 am to 8 pm. A full-day normal admission ticket costs PLN 35 (with the Varsovian Card 32.50), reduced – PLN 25 (with the Young Varsovian Card 22.50). After 4 p.m., admission is cheaper. For a normal ticket we will pay PLN 24.50 (with the Warsaw Varsovian Card 22), for a reduced ticket PLN 17.50 (with the Young Varsovian Card 15). It is also possible to rent a deckchair for PLN 15 or 10. Admission for children under five is free.
In Park Szczesliwicki an outdoor swimming pool run by the Ośrodek Sportu i Rekreacji na Ochota is open for the summer season. Seasonal the swimming pool is open daily from 9am to 7pm.
The facility consists of: a 25×12.5 m long swimming pool, 1.8 m deep, a recreational pool with hydro massage, a 46 m long tubular slide and a paddling pool for children.
The admission ticket has no time limits. Normal costs PLN 26.50 (with the Varsovian Card 21.50), reduced – PLN 13.50 (with the Young Varsovian Card 10). You can also buy a family ticket. An adult and two children under 14 will pay 46.80; two adults and a child – 53 zlotys; while two adults and two children – PLN 66.50.
An admission ticket for people with moderate or severe disabilities costs PLN 9. Veterans can enjoy free admission.
The open swimming facility also offers a swimming pool complex at Inflancka 8. The recreational pool is equipped with a 55 m long water slide and a 14 m family slide. Additional attractions include water massages, geysers and cascades. In turn, the paddling pools have slides for the youngest children.
Summer swimming pools at Inflancka Street are open every day in June and July from 10 am to 8 pm, in August from 10 am to 7 pm. Normal ticket costs PLN 31 (with the Warsaw Varsovian Card 25), reduced – PLN 23 (with the Young Varsovian Card 18). After 3 p.m., admission is cheaper. A regular ticket costs PLN 26, a reduced ticket PLN 18. You can also buy a family ticket for PLN 60.
Kora pools are located at Wał Miedzeszyński 345. The complex consists of two parts: the swimming pool and the gastronomic and recreational part. The swimming pool area in June, July and August is open from 9am to 7pm. Entrance to the food court is independent of the pools and is free of charge.
We will pay 25 PLN for a full-day adult ticket to the swimming pool area, and a reduced ticket of 15 PLN. A family ticket costs PLN 60. After 4 p.m. it is cheaper. Normal ticket costs 15 zlotys, reduced price -10.
Due to the heat that bothers the inhabitants of the capital city, the Municipal Water and Sewerage Company set up water curtains in the city center. Water plumes spray the water to a height of about 2 meters.
Water curtains are set in eight locations: at Zamkowy Square, on Krakowskie Przedmieście, at the Nicolaus Copernicus Monument, at Trzech Krzyży Square in the vicinity of the Wincenty Witos monument, on Konstytucji Square from ul. Waryńskiego, on ul. Floriańska at the Basilica of St. Floriana, on the Vistula Flotilla Boulevard, in Nowy Świat, at ul. Smolna and on the Hoover Square.
