A passenger car driver hit a pedestrian on Patriotów Street. An air ambulance helicopter was dispatched to the scene. The injured person was taken to hospital.
The pedestrian was hit near the intersection with Agrestowa Street. Firefighters are on site. – Three of our teams were dispatched to a man being hit by a car. The person who was hit is conscious. He is under the care of the emergency medical team, said Bartosz Maciąg from the Municipal Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Warsaw.
The police also intervened. – The incident was reported around 4:30 p.m. The man was hit by the driver of a Fiat. The pedestrian was taken to hospital. The driver was sober. The causes of the incident will be explained in the course of the proceedings, said Barbara Szczerba from the Warsaw Police Headquarters.
As tvnwarszawa.pl reporter Tomasz Zieliński clarified, the hit-and-run occurred at a pedestrian crossing without signals.
An air ambulance helicopter was dispatched to the scene. But eventually the person who was hit was taken to hospital in a wheeled ambulance. Patriotów Street was closed during the LPR landing and take-off.
