A pedestrian hit by a city bus driver on Czerniakowska has died. The prosecutor’s office is investigating the circumstances of the accident. The case is currently under investigation, which means that no one has been charged.

The accident happened on Thursday afternoon, December 1. The police reported then that the driver of the bus number 131 was driving along Gagarina Street and, turning right into Czerniakowska Street, hit a pedestrian. Our reporter established that the woman was crossing the road at a traffic light crossing at the time.

An ambulance was called to the scene. The pedestrian was resuscitated and then transported to the hospital. However, it turned out that her life could not be saved. The prosecutor confirms the information that the woman died.

Investigation into a pedestrian hit by a city bus

Now investigators are investigating the circumstances of the hit-and-run. – The Warsaw-Mokotów District Prosecutor’s Office has initiated an investigation for an act under Article 177 paragraph 2 of the Penal Code, i.e. causing a fatal accident. An autopsy of the victim’s body has been ordered. We are currently collecting evidence – informs prosecutor Aleksandra Skrzyniarz, spokeswoman for the District Prosecutor’s Office in Warsaw.

According to him, the case is under investigation. This means that no one has been charged at this time. – The prosecutor’s office plans to appoint an expert in the field of car accident reconstruction – adds Skrzyniarz.
