The state budget would lose 1.5 million zlotys
In five box pallets, officers found smoking tobacco without Polish excise stamps. It was packed in 21.6 thousand packages, 50 grams each. The estimated market value of the seized tobacco is almost PLN 900 thousand. If the goods were to hit the market, the state budget would lose almost PLN 1.5 million.
“Officers secured the documentation of the company that sent the parcel. It turned out that it does not conduct business at the given address. The tobacco was sent to the deposit warehouse of the Masovian Customs and Tax Office (MUCS) in Warsaw. An employee of the courier company was questioned as a witness in the case,” the Fiscal Chamber reported.
