There will be another increase in fees for staying in a sobering-up center. The city councilors adopted a resolution on this matter on Thursday. Its justification indicated that the rate was raised to the maximum indicated at the beginning of the year by the Ministry of Health.
The Council of Warsaw voted on Thursday in favor of adopting a resolution on the amount of fees for staying at the Warsaw Center for Drunk Persons on Kolska Street. The explanatory memorandum explained that the maximum rate was PLN 326.87. It was specified in the announcement of the Minister of Health of January 29, 2021 on the maximum amount of the fee for staying in a sobering-up center, police facility or unit.
Due to the new regulations, the councilors decided that the fee for a one-time stay in the sobering-up center would be raised to PLN 326. From September last year, it amounted to PLN 316, while before this increase, you had to pay PLN 298.18 for the stay at Kolska.
For comparison, for a similar amount you can rent a room in a four-star hotel in the very center of the capital.
More expensive stay in the Department of Breaking Alcohol Strings
The increases also apply to people admitted to the Alcohol Breaking Department. The fee will be PLN 450 for a single room or PLN 400 per night in a double room.
Moreover, depending on the number of days of stay (up to seven days), the daily cost will decrease (in proportion to the longer stay) to PLN 310 (single room) and PLN 248 (double room).
