On the occasion of the 33rd anniversary of Ukraine's Independence Day, celebrations are taking place in various cities in Poland. In Warsaw, at the Ukrainian House, the Ukrainian national anthem was sung.

The joint performance of the anthem by Ukrainians on the occasion of the Independence Day of Ukraine took place at 1 p.m. at Zamenhofa Street 1 in Warsaw, where the Ukrainian House is located. The participants held a large Ukrainian flag and sang the national anthem.

Similar events were organised in other Polish cities. Among others in Wrocław and Poznań.

Independence Day of Ukraine was established on August 24, 1991 by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. It is a symbolic date of the restoration of sovereignty to this country and the anniversary of the adoption of the Declaration of Independence of Ukraine. It has been celebrated since 1992.

Andrzej Duda's visit to Kyiv

President Andrzej Duda went on a visit to Kyiv on Saturday morning. The President's Office announced on social media that the president is taking part in the celebrations of the 33rd anniversary of Ukraine's independence. A recording of the Polish president's welcome to Ukraine was also posted. President Duda's visit to Kyiv on Saturday is his fifth since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion in February 2022.
