At the beginning of September, Krakowskie Przedmieście will be reopened. The representative street has gained a new surface. As have Odyńca and Zamoyskiego streets. In turn, at Karowa, drivers will drive on three lanes of Wisłostrada, and at Dworzec Zachodni, all aisles of the tunnel.
After the summer renovation, Krakowskie Przedmieście gained an even surface, which will be durable and resistant to bus traffic. On the section between Królewska and Miodowa streets, new paving stones appeared, and the cracks were filled with a specialist grout. From Monday, September 2, buses of the following lines will return to Krakowskie Przedmieście on weekdays 106, 111, 116, 128, 175, 178, 180, 503, E-2 and N44On weekends, the section from Miodowa Street to Świętokrzyska Street, Krakowskie Przedmieście, will become a promenade for walkers.
“Work will still be ongoing at bus stops and several of them will operate as temporary stops in places other than permanent ones,” the Public Transport Authority said.
In the neighborhood, work is coming to an end at two intersections of Mazowiecka Street, including Świętokrzyska Street. These are changes that will allow for the use of the underground car park at Powstańców Warszawy Square. For several days now, Mazowiecka Street has been two-way.
End of renovation on Odyniec
The replacement of the surface and sidewalks of Odyńca Street, from Niepodległości Avenue to Wołoska, will be completed with the start of the school year. A new pedestrian crossing has also been built, and parking has been moved to the roadway. Buses of the line 118, 168 and 172 will return to previous routes. 118 will go through Puławska and Malczewskiego streets, 168 to Woronicza Street (Spartańska Street is still under renovation), and 172 it will again run along Odyńca Street to the Chełmska stop.
Passengers of line 172 should pay special attention to the timetable. The renovation of the Sadyba loop is starting, so after Odyńca Street, buses will go along the following streets: Puławska, Goworka, Spacerowa, Belwederska, Chełmska to the loop before Czerniakowska Street. In the other direction, i.e. to the Blue City shopping mall, the beginning of the route will lead along the following streets: Chełmska, Belwederska, Spacerowa, Goworka, Puławska, through Plac Unii Lubelskiej, Boya-Żeleńskiego, Waryńskiego and Puławska. The completion of the renovation of Odyńca Street also means the return of line 141 buses.

Zamoyski with a new surface
At the same time, the milling on Zamoyskiego Street will be finished. Here, too, the surface and sidewalk on the Wedel factory side were renovated, between Aleja Zieleniecka and Lubelska Street, and a bit behind the intersection. New greenery was planted, and parking was also reorganized. The previous diagonal parking spaces were replaced with parallel parking.
Buses operating in that area will return to the basic routes, i.e. to the Eastern Railway Station (to the side of Lubelska Street). 146 and 147 and 509 (in variant courses they will again reach the station from Kijowska Street). Trams will stop running 79.
Wisłostrada and the tunnel naves at the Warszawa Zachodnia station are more accessible
On Tuesday, September 3, drivers will drive on all lanes on Wisłostrada, both towards Mokotów and Żoliborz. Karowa Street will remain closed between Wisłostrada and Dobra Street. Traffic rules for pedestrians and cyclists will also remain unchanged.
On the night from Sunday to Monday, September 1 to 2, all tunnel aisles at the Warszawa Zachodnia station will be opened, and drivers will once again drive according to the pre-renovation rules.
