On Saturday afternoon on route S8 in Marki, on the road towards Białystok, a car caught fire.
We received a report of a burning car and a recording of a column of smoke on Kontakt 24. The officer on duty at the District Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Wołomin confirmed that at approximately 5 p.m. a report was received about a passenger car fire on the S8 route near Marki.
– A car caught fire. The vehicle was driven by a woman who pulled over to the side of the road and exited the car on her own. The road was blocked at that location for the duration of the firefighting operation. There were no injuries in the incident – he told Kontakt 24.
The General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways also reported the difficulties. “Difficulties on the S8 between the Wołomin junction and the Radzymin Płd. junction, km 13+500 (Masovian Voivodeship). A passenger car on fire, 2 lanes blocked towards Białystok, traffic is moving in 1 lane, the incident occurred at 17:17,” we read in the GDDKiA announcement. The difficulties are to last until 19:00.
