Metro Warszawskie has concluded an agreement with the Electronic and Secondary School Complex at Generala Zajączek Street. Students of this Żoliborz facility will be accepted for professional practice and internships organized by the city carrier. Additionally, as part of the company's cooperation with the school, it is planned to launch patron classes and a teaching workshop.

– I am very pleased with the cooperation, which will enable future graduates of the Electronic and Secondary School Complex. Soldiers of the Home Army “Żywiciel” acquire specialized knowledge and skills to the extent required for jobs in the capital's metro. Vocational education is a real investment in the young generation. I would like to add that in Warsaw, nearly 30,000 students are educated in 79 professions at municipal technical and first-level vocational schools. Our common goal is to best prepare young people to enter the labor market, which is why we attach such great importance to the cooperation of vocational schools with companies and future employers – emphasizes Renata Kaznowska, deputy mayor of the capital city, quoted in the announcement of the capital city hall. Warsaw, responsible, among others, for the area of urban education.

SEE: Without these documents, Warsaw risks investment paralysis.

The city is the organizer of the “EduEmployer” Vocational School-Friendly Employer competition, which aims to honor and distinguish companies supporting schools in vocational preparation and working for the development of Warsaw vocational education. This year's distinguished employers included the municipal company Tramwaje Warszawskie and, among others, Cisco Systems Poland Sp. zoo, Toyota Central Europe Sp. z o. o. or Linetech SA

Patronage classes will be created

The Warsaw Metro constantly needs to expand its staff. Due to the demand for new, qualified employees, the company has been cooperating with universities and technical and construction schools for several years in organizing internships for pupils and students in the following specializations: electrician, rail transport power engineer, electronics, mechatronics, teleinformatics and transport technician railway.

As part of the agreement between the city carrier and the Electronic and Secondary School Complex (ZSEiL), it is planned to develop a specialization program for students, create patron classes and equip the school's teaching workshop. An important element of cooperation is also planning career paths for ZSEiL graduates in the Warsaw Metro.
