Warsaw. More greenery in Krakowskie Przedmieście

The Municipal Road Administration is trying to plant additional greenery in Krakowskie Przedmieście. The head of the capital's roadside down announced that the changes are to be visible this fall. Unless the objection is reported by the conservator of monuments.

Decisions regarding planting additional greenery on the most representative part of the royal route were made at the end of last year.

– We took a walk around Krakowskie Przedmieście together with the Mazowieckie Provincial Conservator of Monuments and the Warsaw Conservator of Monuments. We watched the places that were selected for possible dissolution, so that the greenery, which is already growing today, has better conditions – said on Wednesday during a meeting with journalists Łukasz Puchalski, director of the Municipal Road Administration.

The changes will be visible in autumn

During the walking of officials, places were selected where the greenery can be added. – At the moment we redraw it to projects that we will want to agree with all units. So that in the autumn of greenery in Krakowskie Przedmieście there is definitely more – explained the director of ZDM.

For now, Puchalski did not indicate what greenery would appear in Krakowskie Przedmieście and did not indicate specific locations. – I do not want to give a specific number of trees because we do not have verified underground networks at the moment. We want the greening effect not to be achieved at the expense of the comprehensive reconstruction of Krakowskie Przedmieście, but to use the measles themselves – he added.

The last renovation of Krakowskie Przedmieście

Last summer, the last stage of repairing the royal route between Królewska and Miodowa was carried out.

Miodowa Street was renovated as the first in 2017 and 2018. Then we managed to develop a technology that – in the assessment of road workers – withstands the intensive traffic of buses.

In 2019, the Municipal Road Administration returned to Krakowskie Przedmieście and a piece of the new world, where the same technology was used during the renovation of the road surface on the section from Świętokrzyska to Królewska.
