At the construction site of Markowska Square, things got dangerous for a moment. Two unexploded bombs were found. They were mortar grenades from World War II. Sappers intervened.

“Look what 'surprises' we found today at the construction site of Skwer Markowska in Praga-Północ. Type B mortar grenades (81 and 82 mm) from World War II were discovered during earthworks performed with an excavator,” the Greenery Board wrote on social media.

He said that the unexploded ordnance was taken away and secured by sappers. “The area around the find was secured by the police. The construction site was checked, no more unexploded ordnance was found. The construction site is now safe and work has resumed,” he added.
