Road workers showed the effects of surface replacement at the Żaba roundabout. New asphalt was laid in the south-west part of the roundabout. However, this is not the end of the work. This Friday, they will take place on the remaining part – announces the Municipal Roads Authority.
It is a roundabout at the intersection of 11 Listopada, św. Vincent, St. Jacek Odrowąż and Starzyński, i.e. on the border between Targówek and Praga-Północ. It is an important communication junction, therefore the resurfacing has been divided into two stages.
On Friday, the next stage of work at the Żaba roundabout
The effect of the first works can already be seen. Last weekend, road builders laid asphalt in the southwestern part of the roundabout. The next stage of works will start from this Friday, August 6. Road workers ensure that drivers will be fully satisfied next Monday, when there will be no trace of ruts and holes around the roundabout.
Rondo Żaba is another location where ZDM carries out holiday repair and maintenance works. They started with the footbridges over ul. Ostrobramska at ul. Poligonowa and over ul. Powsińska at the height of ul. Limanowski. Then they entered the Siekierkowski Bridge. There, they had already replaced concrete islands between the roadways at the intersection of Trasa Siekierkowska and ul. Wał Miedzeszyński and are completing the renovation of the southern pavement surface in the section from the expansion joint to the pylon on the west side of the bridge, and soon they will also start replacing the expansion joint on the eastern side of the bridge on the road towards Wawer. In mid-July, road builders laid new asphalt on the northern road of ul. Połczyńska on the section from ul. Powstańców Śląskich to ul. Weavery. As they announce, in the second stage, most likely in mid-August, a renovation will be carried out on the section of Weavers – Szeligowska.
At the same time, ZDM also conducts larger investments: na Five Horns Square or on the street Socrates, where, after dismantling the islands in the middle of the road and asylum at pedestrian crossings, workers had already started chipping the road surface for the construction of a dividing lane, replacement of curbs and construction of new parking spaces.
