Warsaw. New displays at tram stops

Over half of the tram stops in the capital are equipped with boards that show the forecast time until the arrival of the next vehicle. Last year 101 such displays arrived, some have not yet been turned on.

Warsaw trams boast of expanding the information boards system at stops. They have been operating for 17 years, but are constantly improved. On the boards, the forecast departure time of the line trams is displayed. These data are based on the timetable and its position from the GPS location system.

101 new boards

“Last year, the expansion of this system began – another 101 boards at stops in various parts of the capital. Warsaw Trams introduced many innovations in the displays, including a noise sensor with sound adjustment (allows you to adjust the volume of the message depending on the level of the sound of the environment – ed.), Night time for voice announcements, support for many languages ​​in voice and generation Automatic messages about detecting disruption of traffic on a given line were also introduced.

New boards also appeared along the open tram route to Wilanów at the end of October. The last of over hundreds are waiting for launch – due to the need to complete the construction of electrical connections. In addition, Warsaw trams plan to install another 20 boards in places
