Police warn against “grandson” and “police officer” scams KRP V

Let's not be deceived

“Every day, criminals call their victims, posing as police officers, bankers or prosecutors. They present a made-up, dramatic story, the aim of which is always to extort cash or valuable items. Pretending to be an officer, they inform, for example, that a secret operation is being conducted, aimed at hackers. At the same time, they convince the caller that the savings they have accumulated in the bank are at risk, and the only way to prevent their loss is to hand the money over to the law enforcement officers for safekeeping. Remember, this is a scam! In such a situation, you should hang up immediately and report the fact to the number 47 72 33 222 or 112″ – the capital city police remind.
