The new, temporary traffic organization caused complete paralysis in Dolny Mokotów. The streets connecting Gagarina and Chełmskaya are jammed along their entire length. Buses are stuck in traffic jams.
On Monday, work on the next section of the heating network began on the construction of the tram route to Wilanów. The works resulted in the closure of the entrance from Gagarina Street to Sułkowicka Street. This caused complete paralysis of a large part of Dolny Mokotów.

“Five buses stuck in a traffic jam”
Due to the new traffic organization, buses no. 131 going towards the Central Station, 168 to Spartańska and 180 to Chomiczówka were diverted through Sielecka. In turn, line 167 on the route towards Stare Bemowo bypasses Dolny and Górny Mokotów along Czerniakowska and Trasa Łazienkowska. In the opposite direction, the mentioned lines to Gagarin run along Nabielak Street – as it was before.
During the morning rush hour, not only Sielecka Street, where buses are directed, is completely paralyzed. There are also other streets connecting Gagarina and Chełmska: Stępińska and Górska.
– A ride along Górska Street from Gagarin to Chełmska takes about 20 minutes – reported tvnwarszawa.pl reporter Tomasz Zieliński on Wednesday before 9 a.m. – Five buses are stuck in a traffic jam on Sielecka Street. I noticed another five on Chełmska Street. From 7 to 9.30 there is complete paralysis – added our reporter. The traffic jam eases slightly only before 10 a.m. – However, there is no question of smooth traffic – he said.
We asked representatives of the Public Transport Authority and Tramwaje Warszawskie, which are responsible for the construction of the line to Wilanów, whether ad hoc changes will be introduced. We are waiting for answer.
