As he emphasized, Adamowicz was always close to people and never separated himself from them: – He personified the idea of modern self-government. As he himself said, next to large and small municipal investments, the most important thing for him was to strengthen and revitalize the civil society.
– The Palace of Culture and Science in Warsaw for many years was associated with the final of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity, and it was during the Gdańsk final in 2019 that Paweł Adamowicz was fatally wounded. Therefore, there was no more suitable place in Warsaw to recall this wonderful man – added Piotr Siegel, the initiator of the action.

Of course, the main celebrations take place in Gdańsk, where in the vicinity of Torture House, in the place where the attack took place three years ago, tribute to Paweł Adamowicz will be paid, among others, by the president of Gdańsk Aleksandra Dulkiewicz and his relatives: the widow Magdalena Adamowicz and brother Piotr Adamowicz. In turn, a demonstration took place in Szczecin. “Paweł Adamowicz, as a person with an open worldview, was fought by the PiS government. In the year preceding his death, TVP broadcast hate messages five times a day on average. We are convinced that it was this hatred that took the life of a great man, that its tool was the bomber’s knife which has not been judged to this day “- the organizers wrote in a press release. The event was organized by the Lambda Szczecin Association, with the support of KOD Zachodniopomorskie, the National Women’s Strike in Szczecin, the KaWtan Initiative, the Left West Pomerania.
