Road works at the junction of the Solec, Śródmieście Północne and Ujazdów housing estates have begun. On August 4, road builders will start the renovation of Piękna Street, and its closure will be used by the builders of viaducts of Trasa Łazienkowska. Then they will rebuild the entrance from Myśliwiecka Street to the Sedlaczka roundabout.
According to the City Hall, Warsaw road builders, thanks to additional funds provided by the City of Warsaw, have planned works on 27 streets for this year. Among them was also Piękna Street. On the section from Aleje Ujazdowskie – to the intersection with Wiejska Street – road builders will replace the foundation and curbs, and lay new asphalt. The renovated section of Piękna Street will be closed to traffic from Friday, August 4, until the end of the month.
The detour will lead along Aleje Ujazdowskie – through Trzech Krzyży Square and along Książęca and Rozbrat Streets. Buses will also run this way 107 and 159 towards Chełmska and the Siekierki Heat and Power Plant. In the direction of the Esperanto loop and CH Blue City, they will go through Czerniakowska Street, Solec, along Trasa Łazienkowska to Aleje Ujazdowskie.
More information on traffic changes due to the renovation can be found at infoulice.um.warszawa.pl.
Myśliwiecka Street will be closed
The reduced number of cars on Piękna, Myśliwiecka and Górnośląska Streets will be used by the builders of viaducts of Trasa Łazienkowska. It will be the best moment for them to close Myśliwiecka Street and rebuild its entrance to the Sedlaczka roundabout. Simultaneously with the closure of Piękna Street, i.e. on Friday, August 4, workers will close Myśliwiecka Street on the section from Hoene-Wrońskiego Street to Sedlaczka roundabout. At this intersection, drivers will only be able to go straight ahead – from Rozbrat to Myśliwiecka (towards Szwoleżerów) and the other way. Traffic lights will continue to operate here. This traffic arrangement will be in force until the end of the summer.
