Warsaw. Planting trees on Bankowy Square is underway

At the bank square in front of the capital city hall, WRE work. Fragments of concrete were taken, and trees are planted in its place. Soon the works will move to the other side of the street.

“16 trees have already arrived at the square, i.e. half of all planned in this place. They are 4 played cherries and 12 field clones. The first of them are already in the ground, and they should all be planted until the beginning of next week” – officials from the capital city hall boast.

These trees are a little smaller than on the central square open on Wednesday. The clones are over 5 meters, and cherries 3 meters. “Smaller trees can be planted even at a relatively high temperature. The key to their good growth will be abundant watering from the very beginning,” the officials emphasize. The contractor of work – AKG Architecture Landscape – will take care of the condition of planted trees for the next few years.

Planting trees on a bank square is an element of work that They started in March. At the beginning of April, a renovation of the pavement and bicycle path began on the side of the Słowacki monument. Unnecessary concrete was launched. It is in its place that trees are planted. Bees will appear there soon.

The town hall announcement also announced that the new pavement of granite slabs is already available for pedestrians, and the area has been prepared for gardening. “The surfaces and islets on the outskirts of the parking lot and along the road for bicycles have already been replaced.

A flower rebate will appear in the monument's axis. It will be planted with a cosmos (otherwise onthe), popularly known as “Warsaw”. It is a plant from the Asthmpas family with flakes in shades of white, pink and purple, reaching a height of up to 1.2 very durable me. Its colloquial name has an interesting genesis. It probably comes from the fact that it was the first plant that bloomed on the ruins of the destroyed capital.

The next stage of work

The town hall points out that this year's works include both sides of the banking square, although they are currently focusing on the western website. After their completion, the works will move to the east, i.e. the area of ​​the blue skyscraper with the square and monument of President Stefan Starzyński.
