Warsaw. Poland-Scotland match at the National Stadium, how to get there?

On Monday, November 18, at 8:45 p.m., Michał Probierz's players will host Scotland at the National Stadium. Fans will be transported to the match by public transport. Before the match, entry to Saska Kępa will be limited.

On the way to the National Stadium, it is best to take the metro, which runs every few minutes. Fast City Railway and Koleje Mazowieckie trains also stop near the stadium, and trams and buses run over the Poniatowski Bridge.

Fans travel for free

Holders of match tickets, invitations and accreditations issued by the Polish Football Association are entitled to free travel on Warsaw Public Transport vehicles (buses, trams, metro, Szybka Kolej Miejska) and trains of Koleje Mazowieckie and Warszawska Kolej Dojazdowa, within the boundaries of ZTM ticket zone 1. Additionally, it is possible to use the Park and Ride car parks for free from Monday, November 18, from 6 a.m. to Tuesday, November 19, until 1 a.m.

Before the match, at 6:30 p.m., entry to Saska Kępa will be limited. Until 8:45 p.m., the areas between Aleja Poniatowskiego, Aleja Washington, ul. Społeczna, Aleja Naszeny and ul. Wał Miedzeszyński as well as Aleja USA, ul. Africanska and Bora-Komorowskiego will be closed to individual traffic. The bans will not apply to vehicles of persons with SK IDs, taxis, two-wheelers and buses of Warsaw Public Transport.

Street closures and detours possible

Depending on the current situation, the police may decide to close individual streets. In the event of closure of Sokole, from Zamość to Wybrzeże Szczecińskie – from approximately 6.30 p.m. until the end of the meeting – buses of the following lines: 102, 125 and 202 they will go along Targowa and Kijowska streets to the Dw. Wschodni (Kijowska) terminus, a 146 and 147 Szczecin Coast and Zamość.

If Sokola, Zamość and Zamoyskiego streets are closed, the following lines will be detoured: 102, 125, 135, 146, 147 and 202. Buses: 102, 125 and 202 they will run along Targowa and Kijowska streets to the Dworzec Wschodni (Kijowska) terminus, 135 Targowa, a 146 and 147 Zieleniecka Avenue.

After the meeting ends, around 10.30 p.m., the police may decide to close the Poniatowski Bridge and Aleje Jerozolimskie to traffic, on the section from Rondo Washington to Rondo de Gaulle.

Trams and buses will then be diverted to diversion routes. Line trams 7 they will go through the Śląsko-Dąbrowski Bridge. In turn, line compositions 9, 22 and 24 on the city center side they will reach Starynkiewicza Square. On the Prague sidenine” and “twenty-four” will go to the Ratuszowa-Zoo loop, while the line 22 in the loop to and from the Wiatraczna roundabout.

If tram traffic is shut down on Aleje Jerozolimskie and on the Poniatowski Bridge, a replacement line Z-9 will be launched. Buses will run between Rondo Wiatraczna and Plac Zawiszy via the Łazienkowski Bridge.

Bus lines: 111, 117, 158, 166, 507, 521, N22, N24 and N72 buses will bypass the closed section of routes over the Łazienkowski Bridge, and the buses will bypass the line 146 and 147 they will drive along Zieleniecka Avenue.

The most convenient way is communication

Additional buses will be deployed on the routes 138 and 509. From the Washington Roundabout (from stops 03 and 04 respectively) you will be able to take them towards Bokserska, Gocław and Winnica.

The metro is also prepared for a larger number of passengers. Trains both towards Bemowo and Bródno will arrive at the station more often.

There will be more trams. On the route between Aleja Zieleniecka and the Metro Młociny loop, additional line trains will transport passengers 26. In turn, more “nine” will travel between Gocławek and Ratuszowa-Zoo (in Praga) and P+R Al. Krakowska and Starynkiewicza Square (on the Śródmieście side).
