At the end of July, the Warsaw police carried out an operation codenamed “Clean Holidays”. They detained 92 people and secured, among other things, over 1.3 kilograms of drugs and 641 opioid tablets.
The police, as we read in a press release, searched a total of 209 places, including houses, apartments and farm buildings. “1,005 inspections were carried out of places where drug trafficking may occur. As part of the operations conducted in the capital garrison, a total of 92 people were detained. 55 related to trafficking and distribution (suspects of committing a crime) and 37 wanted,” the officers reported.
They added that the police carried out checks on the vehicles and drivers, testing them with breathalyzers and drug tests.
“The police achieved the greatest success in their operations in Praga Północ. It was there that they detained the most people and secured the most drugs,” they reported.
Police officers from the criminal and preventive departments participated in the activities carried out in cooperation and under the supervision of prosecutors from the capital garrison.
