The deputies presented the details of the inspection carried out in the Pruszkow police station.

– In the course of the investigation and inspection, which we carried out, among others, at the police station in Pruszków, we found out that one of the policemen who was driving the car had 18 years of work experience. The second policeman, who was a passenger, is on a basic course. He was at work for two months. It was his first patrol and intervention, which ended in such a daring way – said MP Aleksandra Gajewska (KO) during the Thursday conference.

As she announced, activities related to parliamentary control will be continued at the Warsaw Police Headquarters, which supervised the case. “We will not allow this matter to be swept under the rug,” she said. – We will not allow the spokesman and the Warsaw Police Headquarters to distract us from the fact that police officers bear full responsibility for all these events. We will continue to investigate what the girls were doing in this car, where the policemen wanted to take them, how the road accident happened and why the policemen did not help these girls – Gajewska calculated. And she stressed that she would demand professional and legal consequences.

– We will also check whether this situation is a single incident that took place, or whether it is a practice that police officers in Poland commit because they feel unpunished – she added.

In turn, as reported by Kinga Gajewska, the senior police officer received six disciplinary charges, while the younger one – four. – We will ask what the charges are and why only one of the policemen was suspended – said the MP.

Teenagers in a radio car. What happened?

The incident took place last week near Warsaw, near the intersection of Kinetyczna and Złote Łany streets in Dawidy Bankowe. It turned out that two teenagers were traveling with the officers. “We have no reason to believe these people were in that police car. Hence the decision to initiate disciplinary action against the police officers, said Sylwester Marczak, spokesman for the Warsaw Police Headquarters.

The police confirmed that the 17- and 19-year-olds “received medical assistance on their own” immediately after the incident. From the accounts of the younger girl’s relatives, it appears that when they got out of the broken police car, one of the policemen was supposed to approach them as if he wanted to check if they were okay. The other was to shout to them: “Now go to sleep!”. Friends of the teenagers took them to the Voluntary Fire Brigade in Raszyn, where there is also an ambulance station. The younger one was then taken to the hospital, where she was found to have, among other things, a broken nose and a contusion of the shoulder and jaw, after tests she was discharged home.

Commander’s first decisions

On Tuesday KSP spokesman informed that “advanced disciplinary actions are still being carried out in connection with the incident in Dawidy Bankowe“. – The analysis of the collected material was presented to the Warsaw Police Commander, who yesterday (Monday – ed.) decided to take over the disciplinary proceedings. At the same time, the Warsaw Police Commander decided to suspend the patrol commander – said Sylwester Marczak.

In turn, the investigation was taken over by the District Prosecutor’s Office in Warsaw. – Taking into account the circumstances related to the fact that these police officers could cooperate with the District Prosecutor’s Office in Pruszków during their official duties, the proceedings were taken over by the District Prosecutor’s Office in Warsaw to maintain impartiality – Aleksandra Skrzyniarz, spokeswoman for the District Prosecutor’s Office in Warsaw, explained on Tuesday.

The prosecutor’s office ordered the examination of witnesses. It also plans to appoint an expert to assess the injuries sustained by the victim.
