Warsaw. Police: threatened the former employer with photos of grenades and a pistol

The city center police detained a suspect of making criminal threats against his former employers. – The man sent the owners of the company messages and photos of flashbangs and a pistol, threatening to use them. He wanted to force the return of over a million zlotys that they allegedly owed him – the police indicated.

As described by Robert Szumiata, spokesman for the city center police, it all began on October 9. On that day, the lawyer and the owners of the company began to receive the first text messages and e-mails with threats.

– A person they know, a former employee of the company, threatened them with deprivation of life, health and property damage for the next four days, if they did not return him 58,000 zlotys and 200,000 euros, which they allegedly owed the 48-year-old for the work performed for the company. The man, wanting to force the aggrieved parties to return the receivables, also sent them photos of flashbangs and a pistol, threatening to use them – said the policeman.

Dummy gun and grenades in the apartment

Szumiata emphasized that as soon as the notification reached the police, officers from the city center department to fight crime against life and health took care of it. – It was they who, being aware of the threat, immediately tracked down and arrested the 48-year-old. During a search of his apartment and car, they found a dummy pistol and flashbang grenades – the policeman said.

The man has already heard the accusations. The police emphasize that the criminal code provides for up to five years in prison for this crime. – At the request of the policemen, the court has already decided to temporarily arrest the suspect – summed up Robert Szumiata.
