Difficulties on the Warsaw Southern Bypass. Bulls that had escaped from the truck were running on the South Bridge (Anny Jagiellonka Bridge). One animal did not survive.

Bartłomiej Śniadała from the press team of the Warsaw Police Headquarters said that the report about the incident on the S2 route was received before 8 p.m.

– Preliminary findings by police officers from the Road Traffic Department show that before the exit onto Wał Miedzeszyński towards Terespol, one of the cars blocked the driver of a truck transporting cattle. As a result of emergency braking, one of the animals fell out of the trailer and died. Then three more animals escaped onto the route, the policeman said.

– The animals were caught, fortunately there were no accidents there. The police secured the scene of the incident. One of the four lanes towards Terespol is blocked – summed up Śniadała. The photos show that the animals were herded between the truck and the barriers to prevent them from running on the road.

According to the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways, the incident occurred between the Wilanów and Wał Miedzeszyński junctions. “A truck transporting animals lost its load. One lane of the road towards Terespol was blocked. The disruption occurred around 8 p.m.,” we read in the message.

As estimated, disruptions may last until approximately 10 p.m.
