Two passenger cars collided at Szwedzka Street. The driver of one of them was chased by the police. Three people were injured. Szwedzka Street was closed.
Tomasz Zieliński, the reporter of tvnwarszawa.pl, learned about the incident. – At the intersection of Szwedzka Street and Letnia Street, a Ford and a Mercedes collided, the driver of which was running away from the police. After the collision, the Mercedes driver drove into the historic, post-factory building of the Warsaw Mechanical Bakery at Szwedzka Street, Zieliński said.
He added that there were three ambulances, three fire brigades and several police cars on site. – There are Mercedes driver and passenger in the ambulances. One of the men was taken to an ambulance on a stretcher, handcuffed. The Ford driver is also injured – said Zieliński.
Szwedzka Street was closed to traffic at the Żaba roundabout.
The driver did not stop for inspection
Our reporter’s findings were confirmed by Paulina Onyszko, press officer of the Warsaw VI District Police Headquarters. – The policemen were chasing the Mercedes, which did not stop for inspection. The driver of the Mercedes, driving down from Radzyminska into Szwedzka, collided with the driver of the Ford. Three people were injured in the incident: a Mercedes driver and passenger, and a Ford driver, Onyszko said. She added that. a crew of policemen from the road traffic department from the accident section was called to the scene.
– At the moment, we do not know why the Mercedes driver did not stop for inspection. We will explain it – summed up the policewoman.
