Police chase after a drunk driver. According to the services, the man drove into the ambulance and then drove away. The car was abandoned on one of the streets of Praga.
The incident took place on Friday (August 6) after 6 p.m. According to Małgorzata Wersocka from the press office of the Warsaw Police Headquarters, the seat driver at Wał Miedzeszyński street damaged the ambulance.
“He left the scene after that,” said the policewoman.
As our reporter Mateusz Szmelter found out, the driver, escaping from the police, drove onto the pavement, and then onto the square. He damaged several lanterns. – He rode the pavement for a long time, he also destroyed the greenery – reports Szmelter.
Eventually, as our reporter described, he abandoned the car on Rzymska Street. Subsequently, he was arrested by the police.
– He was under the influence of alcohol. He had 1.8 per mille in exhaled air – said Małgorzata Wersocka.
