What does Rafał Trzaskowski think about the creation of Lecha Kaczyńskiego Street in Warsaw? He emphasized that the decision on this matter is made by the Warsaw council, and he himself has not changed his mind. He also talked about the presidential elections.

The mayor of the capital was asked in an interview for “Poland – Warsaw Metropolis” to make a clear declaration whether there will be a President Lech Kaczyński street in Warsaw or not.

– Street names are the competence of the Warsaw council, and the councilors this term had a different opinion than me. I don’t know what it will be like in the next term. I have not changed my mind – I believe that President Lech Kaczyński should have his own street in Warsaw – emphasized Rafał Trzaskowski.

Will there be losses in the presidential elections?

Rafał Trzaskowski was also asked whether he would run for president of Poland, because so far the polls favor him and he is ahead of the Speaker of the Sejm, Szymon Hołownia. He said that today he is the mayor of Warsaw and that is what he focuses on.

– I have worked diligently for five years to now be able to stand before the people of Warsaw and apply for votes in the elections for a second term in this position. On the one hand, I treat polls with caution, but on the other hand, I am very grateful for all manifestations of sympathy and support – this is a great obligation for me – noted the mayor of the capital.
