On Friday, a group of people gathered in front of the Sejm to protest against the actions on the border with Belarus. Several of them stormed the premises of the facility. According to the police, a total of six people were sent for punishment to the court.
The barriers in front of the Seym and the wall were poured with red liquid resembling blood. There were signs on the street: “You are murdering people at the border”. Several people also had banners, incl. with the slogan “Auschwitz did not fall from the sky”.
Intervention of the Marshal’s Guard
– On Friday afternoon, there was an unauthorized intrusion into the Sejm complex, ended with an effective intervention of the Marshal’s Guard – said Andrzej Grzegrzółka, head of the Sejm Information Center.
– We are securing evidence regarding the course of this event. The Chancellery of the Sejm and the Marshal’s Guard will consider possible legal steps related to, inter alia, in violation of the so-called home miracle and destruction of property – emphasized Grzegrzółka.
A motion to punish six people
Małgorzata Wersocka from the press team of the Warsaw Police Headquarters said that a group of people gathered at Wiejska 5 pm, four of whom “entered the Sejm”. The police asked them to punish them under Article 51 of the Code of Petty Offenses (“Anyone who disturbs peace, public order, rest at night or causes scandal in a public place by shouting, making noise, alarm or other pranks, is punishable by detention, restriction of liberty or a fine” – ed. .) – she pointed. And she added that, in turn, two people were requested to punish under Article 63a of the Code of Petty Offenses (“Whoever places an advertisement, poster, placard, appeal, leaflet, inscription or drawing in a public place not intended for this purpose, or displays them in a public view elsewhere without the consent of the administrator of this place, subject to the penalty of restriction of liberty or a fine – ed.)
