Road workers are returning to Ursynów to complete the renovation of the roadway of the Commission of National Education Avenue. Antoniego Malczewskiego Street in Mokotów will also gain a new surface. The renovation of the first of them will be carried out over the weekend, the second from Monday. Drivers and passengers of public transport will have to reckon with difficulties, detours have been designated.

The Municipal Roads Authority is renovating the eastern carriageway of KEN Avenue. Last weekend, road workers laid a new surface between Indira Gandhi and Jana Ciszewskiego streets. Now, the work will enter the second stage. The section from Filipina Płaskowicka to Indira Gandhi will be renovated – including the intersection.

The work will last from Friday, September 27, 10:00 p.m. to Monday, September 30, 5:00 a.m.

The renovation means difficulties for drivers. Road workers will close the carriageway of KEN Avenue towards Dolina Służewiecka, from the Krahelska roundabout to the intersection with Gandhi. Additionally, the following will be closed to traffic: a section of KEN Avenue towards Kabaty, from Ciszewskiego to Gandhi, the carriageway of Gandhi Street from Cynamonowa to KEN Avenue and the exit from Benedykta Polaka Street to KEN Avenue.

The following bus lines will be diverted to detours: 136, 148, 179, 185, 192, 217, 263, 503 and N86. On Saturday, bus lines 192 will not be running, and 136 will take Dereniowa and Płaskowicka streets to the Natolin Płn. 22 stop at the Krahelska roundabout, where they will end their route. In turn, 503 will be directed along Cynamonowa Street to the Natolin Płn. 08 stop (at the bazaar). Bus lines 217 will not reach the Natolin Płn. terminus, but via Cynamonowa and Ciszewskiego streets to the Ursynów Płd. terminus. The route of line 263 will change – buses will end and start their journeys at the Pileckiego 03 stop, on Pileckiego Street, near the Polskich Kryptologów Enigma roundabout. Their route will lead along the following streets: Rosoła, Gandhi, Cynamonowa, Ciszewskiego and Pileckiego. The section of KEN Avenue that will be closed to traffic will also be bypassed by bus lines: 148 (via Ciszewskiego and Cynamonowa streets), 179 and N86 (Dereniowa and Płaskowicka streets) and 185 (Płaskowicka and Cynamonowa streets).

Malczewski with a new surface

The Mokotów district is renovating Antoniego Malczewskiego Street. So far, road workers have been working on the sidewalks, and in the next stage they will start work on the roadway, where they will lay new asphalt. This stage of work will begin on Monday, September 30. All work is to be completed by December.

Malczewskiego Street will be closed from Puławska Street, behind the entrance to the car park and petrol station, to Tyniecka Street and from Tyniecka to Krasickiego. Driving straight along Tyniecka Street will still be possible. Drivers will bypass the closed section via Odyńca or Woronicza Streets. It will not be possible to park on Puławska Street, in front of Malczewskiego Street. A temporary bus stop will be built there.

The following bus lines will run differently: 118 and 218. Lines 118 and 218 will have changed routes. Buses 118 in both directions will bypass the closed section of Malczewskiego via Niepodległości Avenue and Odyńca Street. The route of line 218 will be shortened. The last stop for passengers going towards Królikarnia will be Metro Wierzbno 05. Towards Metro Wilanowska, buses will start from the Królikarnia 08 stop, which is on Woronicza Street at the intersection with Puławska.
