Warsaw. Road workers are looking for people willing to lease a car park under Krasiński Square

The Municipal Roads Authority has announced a competition for the lease of a 24-hour underground car park at Krasiński Square. The lessee will operate the facility for less than 3 years. It will have 360 ​​public parking spaces at its disposal.

ZDM administers two underground car parks for public use. Both are available for short-term parking, but after purchasing a monthly subscription, you can also leave your car there for a longer period.

The first public garage is located adjacent to the Supreme Court. It is located under Krasiński Square, from which the entrance is located. It is this parking lot that ZDM wants to lease. In total, there are 360 ​​public spaces.

The second underground car park with 130 parking spaces is located under Waryńskiego Street – above the ceiling of the Politechnika metro station. You enter it from Progi Street, from Polna Street.

“Both car parks are operated by external entities, selected through a tender competition. The service consists in collecting fees for parking from drivers, inspecting installations and technical devices of garages, paying utility bills, as well as carrying out minor repairs” – explained ZDM.

He will administer the car park until 2026

The contract with the leaseholder of the parking lot at Krasiński Square is about to expire. That is why a competition for a new tenant was announced. He will administer the car park from June 1 to May 31, 2026. The only criterion for evaluating the submitted bids will be the amount of the monthly lease rent. However, this amount cannot be lower than PLN 72,000 net.

The offer should be submitted no later than May 12 (Friday) at 15 at the office of the Municipal Roads Authority at 120 Chmielna Street in Warsaw. More information about the competition can be obtained by calling: 22 55 89 349 from Monday to Friday from 8-15.

Underground car parks under Krasińskich Square and Waryńskiego Street were built in the 1990s. Recently, after many years, road builders decided to carry out the necessary renovation works. In November 2020, the car park under Waryńskiego Street gained new lamps and motion sensors, carbon monoxide detectors, monitoring and electrical installation. Under the Krasiński Square, road builders renovated the surface and sealed the walls and ceilings, as well as repaired the lighting at the entrance to the car park. Last year, both garages were equipped with a modern access control system.
